Marisa & Ryan | Baltimore Basilica & Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel | Baltimore Wedding Photographer

Marisa & Ryan had quite the amazing wedding and lots of time for portraits which always gets an A+ in my book. We started the day getting ready at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel. Then headed to the Baltimore Basilica for the wedding ceremony. As Marisa stepped out of the limo, the snow started coming down. You remember that ONE snow we actually got this winter? Well this was it. It was gorgeous and we were all excited! After the ceremony, the snow was still coming down hard and I couldn’t wait to start taking photos in it. Marisa (and Ryan) were troopers! A long time for portraits is always great but when it’s literally freezing outside, it can make the comfort level for the couple pretty low. But they knew they wanted amazing portraits so they braved the cold. The limo drove us around Baltimore and we hopped out at different spots. Halfway through, we headed back to the hotel where it was time for Marisa to not only change dresses, but get a completely new hair and makeup look. Each look was amazing and she looked gorgeous! After warming up a little bit, we were all ready for round #2 of portraits and once again we hopped back in the limo. The cold finally got the best of Marisa & Ryan right as the sun finished setting which was perfect timing! We headed back to the hotel and geared up for the start of the reception. A beautiful spotlight hit Marisa & Ryan during their first dance and the party continued after that. I’m so happy I could work with Marisa & Ryan and capture this special day for them! Congrats you two!

Katie & Tyler | Four Seasons Rooftop | Baltimore Proposal Photographer

The proposals I photograph just keep getting better and better….and I really don’t understand how that is even possible. Tyler started off this proposal by planning a weekend in Baltimore with Katie and all of their friends. Katie & Tyler had booked a room at the Four Seasons Baltimore since they live outside of the city. And Katie thought that is all it was–just a fun night out with friends. Little did she know Tyler had completely different plans. Tyler teamed up with Nicole from Four Seasons Baltimore. Nicole plans all of the romantic proposals at Four Seasons. While everyone was hanging out in the room preparing for their night out in Baltimore, Tyler conveniently received a call from the front desk asking him to come downstairs and sign some papers. Of course this was just an excuse to leave the room so he could meet us outside on the fourth floor overlooking with city. A romantic candlelit area had already been set up and the song “Marry Me” was playing in the background. Meanwhile, someone texted one of the girls telling them the proposal was a go and everyone was in place (and yes, every single friend knew what was about to happen! I’m so impressed with their secret keeping abilities!). One of the girls said they heard there was a really good view of the city on the fourth floor and they should check it out so all 20+ friends and Katie headed to where Tyler was waiting. Katie rounded the corner with all of their friends when she saw Tyler. Her reaction was so cute and sweet! She was beyond thrilled and so were all of their friends. After a few portraits at Four Seasons, this crew did what they originally came to do but instead of just a regular night out, they had something very special to celebrate. Big congrats to Katie & Tyler and I’m so happy I could be a part of their big day!

And PS-If you are wondering how to plan a perfect proposal, Four Seasons is the place to do it. And the best part is they plan and set it up for you. Go here to learn more.

Erica & Kevin | Fells Point | Baltimore Engagement Photographer

I met Erica & Kevin in the always cute Fells Point for their engagement session. I photograph a lot of engagement sessions in Fells Point, but each time I photograph there, I always seem to find something new that inspires me. This engagement session was no exception. We already had to cancel once because of rain so even though the second time around was a little bit cold, we were thankful it wasn’t raining. And um the light was on point so happy dance for that. Erica & Kevin were very sweet and super easy going and I’m so excited for their upcoming wedding with Elizabeth Bailey Weddings!

Crystal & Jimmy | Towson Courthouse | Baltimore Courthouse Wedding Photographer

There is just something about courthouse weddings that I love so, so much. The ceremony room isn’t necessarily the most beautiful but the love always is. For the most part, there is no fuss with courthouse weddings. It is casual and no one is stressed, but you still have that excitement of getting married. Sometimes there is a small group of people and other times, it is just the couple. For Crystal & Jimmy, it was no exception with the amount of love felt. After they arrived, we took some portraits around the Towson Courthouse before they headed upstairs to get married. As we were taking portraits, friends and family began to arrive. I’m not sure how many people they had there to witness the ceremony, but I’m pretty sure we couldn’t have fit another person in the room. And each one of the guests was so excited for these two. After the ceremony, everyone clapped and cheered. It must have been rather loud and abrupt because their adorable baby daughter burst out in tears because it scared her. It was so cute and sad all at the same time. After lots of hugs and congratulations, everyone headed over to Sullivan’s Steakhouse for a dinner and celebration. I’m so happy I could be a part of this day with Crystal & Jimmy! Congrats you two!

Emily & Brett | Hillendale Country Club | Phoenix Wedding Photographer

Emily was seriously one of the most smiley and happy brides I have ever seen. And that is saying a lot since brides are already typically very smiley and happy on their wedding day. She was just so excited and I loved that! It is one of the many things that made this wedding so special and so much fun to photograph. After the getting ready, we headed over to Loyola College Chapel for the first look and portraits and let me just tell you, it was cooollldd and windy outside! When the guys are complaining about the temperature, you know it is bad. Despite the weather, that smile still didn’t leave Emily’s face and she toughed through the weather to capture some amazing portraits. After the ceremony, it was off to Hillendale Country Club to start the party. The Groove Spot kept the dance floor packed all night long. Big congrats again to Emily & Brett and I’m so happy I was the one to document your day!
