Annie and Brian are such a fun loving couple and were perfectly relaxed on their wedding day at Stone Manor Country Club in Middletown, Maryland.  After getting ready and  a really sweet first look, we finished up bridal party pictures and portraits of the two of them.  I could seriously photograph at Stone Manor Country Club forever–there are so many beautiful spots! We even had time to drive a couple of minutes away to an intersection that had a road called Poole Street–their new last name!  We just couldn’t pass that up.  There were so many great stories told of the two of them during the ceremony and so much laughter because of it.  And I’m pretty sure they had one of the best kisses when they were announced as man and wife that I have ever seen.  The reception continued the celebration for these Virginia Tech alums.  The grooms cake was a Virginia Tech cake, both the bride and groom wore Virginia Tech socks, and of course the night wouldn’t have been complete without all of the guests doing the Hockey Pokey dance.  The cake smashing was definitely one of the highlights of the evening.  A couple of weeks before the wedding I send out a pre-wedding questionnaire to my couples.  One of the questions I ask is, “Please list any must have photos, candid or posed.”  Annie answered and I quote, “…..you have to capture the cake.  I have been waiting my whole life to have cake smashed in my face.”  And let me just tell you that she did not disappoint.  The cake smashing was absolutely fantastic!!  Annie & Brian exited their wedding with guests lighting their way with glow sticks.  So much fun!

I was so happy I could photograph so many special and beautiful moments for Annie and Brian on their wedding day.  I wish them much happiness in their life together!!
