I received an email from Anthony saying he and Casey would be traveling to DC for a mini vacation. While they were on this vacation, he planned to propose to her! He couldn’t have picked a more perfect time because the Cherry Blossoms at the Tidal Basin were at their peak bloom so the setting was absolutely gorgeous. The only problem with this is that every single other person in DC and the country knows how beautiful this setting can be and travels to DC and to see the trees. Needless to say, the area was beyond packed with people. I told Anthony I knew of a place right off the Tidal Basin that although still crowded would provide a little more privacy and better photos for the actual proposal. So Anthony and I “spotted” one another as he and Casey were walking along the Tidal Basin near the FDR Memorial. They followed me until we arrived at the spot and then Anthony got down on one knee. It was seriously the sweetest proposal ever. Casey was so surprised and beyond happy. We took a few portraits along the Tidal Basin afterwards and Anthony and Casey went off to celebrate. I’m so happy for these two and I wish them so much happiness in their future together!
