When I first met with Marie & Alan, they said this wedding started off as an intimate destination wedding but slowly turned out into a full blown event. Alan works with the Ravens so it made sense for them to get married at M&T Bank Stadium. The ceremony was on the 50-yard line and the reception was on the Club Level. Not only that, but the wedding was on the Fourth of July and you could see the fireworks from one of the balconies. And guests were requested to wear black and white. What a fabulous experience all around for their guests! Marie & Alan’s wedding was a beautiful celebration of two families coming together. Marie & Alan both have children separately so they wanted to include their (mostly grown) children as part of their wedding day. Each group of children walked their respective parent down the aisle and each child contributed a rose to Marie’s bouquet symbolizing the two families becoming one. During the reception Marie’s children sang her a special song and Alan’s daughter gave a hilarious and sweet toast. It was very obvious that the whole crew already had a special bond with each other as well as with both Marie & Alan. Of course the love between Marie & Alan is evident as well. I love when you catch a couple looking at each other in a moment when they think no one is watching and you can actually see the love in their eyes–this is what it is like with Marie & Alan. Love it! Marie was very emotional throughout the day. And I am pretty sure she cried during every part of the day ;). Of course, the cry was always a happy cry and a cry that was full of gratitude and excitement for this new chapter. I love capturing emotion so as a photographer I was in heaven and it just made me even more happy for these two lovebirds. During the reception, the married duo Love Story kept the dance floor packed and guests entertained the remainder of the evening. I’m so happy that I could photograph this day and I wish Marie & Alan a very happy life together!
