Lacy & Matt | Legg Mason Tower | Baltimore Wedding Photographer

Lacy & Matt are two of the nicest people you will ever meet which is why I knew photographing their wedding would be a blast. I started the day off getting ready with Matt and then headed over to Four Seasons Baltimore with the girls. Everyone was calm and collected and ready for an exciting day ahead! After some bridesmaids and groomsmen portraits, we took the limo to the stunning Baltimore Basilica for the wedding ceremony. There was a break between the ceremony and reception so we were able to take plenty of portraits at the Inner Harbor before the reception began. We were fighting the sun setting but it worked out great because we were able to photograph sunset and night photos before the reception started at Legg Mason Tower. Lacy & Matt were introduced and the party began. The dance floor was literally packed all night thanks to DC Synergy Band. This was one of those weddings that you could tell EVERYONE was just having so much fun. I just love those kinds of weddings! And I was so honored Lacy & Matt choose me to document their day. Enjoy!

Sarah & Nick | Wynridge Farm | Dallastown Wedding Photographer

Sarah & Nick were such a blast to work with! These two are so easy going and their wedding was just perfect. The plan was for the ceremony to be outside with the gorgeous land that surrounds Wynridge Farm in the background. But of course the weather had a different idea. It was spitting rain throughout the getting ready portion of the wedding day and at some point during this time, Sarah & Nick had to make a decision to risk having the ceremony outside or move it into the barn where their reception would be held as well. If I’m not mistaken, the weather forecast was still calling for a chance of rain at this point. Honestly, I think most couple’s would have played it safe and moved the wedding ceremony indoors but Sarah & Nick decided to go for it and I’m so glad they did because it didn’t rain at all after that. After a super sweet ceremony, we continued with portraits on the beautiful grounds as well as inside in the brewery. There are so many great portrait spots at Wynridge Farm. Next it was time for the party to get started in the barn. And PS, if you are looking for a barn venue, this is a good one….a really good one. It was so great to see one of my past couples and to work with the amazing Keisha from Savvy Selebrations again! I’m so happy I could be a part of this wedding day and I wish Sarah & Nick much luck in their future together!

Kat & Brad | Cattail Creek Country Club | Howard County Wedding Photographer

I started Kat & Brad’s wedding day off at Kat’s parent’s house where the girls got ready while my second photographer was at Turf Valley Resort with the guys while they got ready. Everyone was a little nervous because the reception was tented and all the portraits were going to be outside with most being on the beautiful grounds of Cattail Creek Country Club…..and it was supposed to rain. But it didn’t! At least not during the most crucial portrait times–yay! Anyway, after everyone was ready, we met up at St. Mark’s Catholic Church for the wedding ceremony and then headed to Cattail Creek Country Club for the wedding reception. Kat & Brad’s wedding reception was out of this world beautiful thanks to Elizabeth Bailey Weddings and Victoria Clausen Floral Events. The greens, pinks, and peaches from the florals blended together perfectly with the lace linens and the outdoor surroundings. Gorgeous flowers were literally everywhere you looked. The dance floor was packed all night thanks to The Bachelor Boys Band and the evening ended with a confetti Canon. Loved it! Such a beautiful wedding day and I’m so happy I could be there to document it.

Archana & Keshav | Jefferson Memorial | DC Proposal Photographer

Keshav & Archana met in DC. They have since moved away but were recently back for a visit. Keshav’s twin brother picked Archana & Keshav up from the airport and casually mentioned that he had been wanting to see the Jefferson Memorial. According to Archana, everyone knows that the Jefferson Memorial is the best monument so she jumped on the opportunity to visit again. Such a perfectly natural reason to visit–love it! While Keshav’s brother was parking, Keshav & Archana started to explore the monument. I was waiting for them at the front of the memorial. I assumed when they arrived they would have to walk right past me but they ended up going a different route than I originally thought so when I turned around, I saw a couple holding hands both with black jackets on walking away from me. I couldn’t see their faces so I wasn’t 100% sure it was them but I was pretty sure so I chased after them. Keshav led Archana to the top of the monument that overlooks the Washington Monument. She had some sushi that she was carrying around that was left over from lunch and was planning on eating it while they explored. Keshav kept trying to get Archana to put it in her purse without being obvious and I think finally she did. Surprisingly it was more crowded than expected so Keshav had to lead her to a couple of different spots before he finally got down on one knee. It was such a sweet and perfect proposal. After the initial surprise, Keshav’s brother joined them in celebrating. BIG congrats to Archana & Keshav and I’m so happy I could be a part of your day!!

Sheila & Fred | National Elite Private Yacht | DC Wedding Photographer

I love this wedding for so many reasons, but one of my favorite reasons for loving this wedding is Sheila & Fred had a big celebration and made the event special even though they aren’t the typical wedding couple. I hear couples make excuses all the time for wanting to downplay the celebration or wanting to elope because “this is his/her second marriage” or “we are older”. I say who cares! Of course there is nothing wrong with eloping at all and if you want to elope, then elope! But don’t simply elope or not have a big celebration because you aren’t the typical wedding couple and you are scared of how others will perceive it.

At any rate, I knew Sheila & Fred were going to be a blast the minute I met them. Between traffic and getting lost, they were a little stressed by the time they arrived to my house for their consult. I asked if they wanted anything to drink and Sheila without hesitation asked for a shot of vodka. I tried to hold in the giggles because it was definitely an unexpected request….but a request I filled nonetheless. We talked through a few things and they booked me on the spot. I knew I was going to be in for a fun dance party!

Sheila & Fred’s wedding was so much fun to photograph. We started the day off getting ready at the beautiful Gaylord National. They were married on the National Elite Private Yacht in National Harbor. After the sunset ceremony with the ferris wheel in the background, the yacht left the dock and we cruised around the harbor during the reception. Sheila had specialty hats made for the women which were a blast. I might have even worn one for the evening so I fit in of course. I had so much fun photographing these two and I wish them so much happiness in their future together!
