Lizzie & Adam | Union Station | DC Engagement Photographer

Lizzie & Adam were up bright and early for their sunrise engagement session in Washington DC. We started the morning off at Union Station and then walked our way over to the Capitol Building. It was under construction but it was still beautiful! We couldn’t have picked a more perfect morning either. It was absolutely gorgeous outside–something we haven’t experienced in the last two weeks in Maryland. Lizzie & Adam are seriously two of the sweetest and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding Aspen Wye River in June!

Lisa & David | Federal Reserve Building | DC Proposal Photographer

David and Lisa were visiting DC for a long weekend. Lisa thought it was just a mini vacation, but David had something a little more special up his sleeve. The day of the proposal, David told Lisa his friend was able to score them a tour of the Federal Reserve Building in Washington DC. Little did she know, that was just a trick so he had an excuse to walk right by it and propose directly in front of it. David is a HUGE finance guy so proposing in front of such a special building seemed like a no brainer….not to mention it is a GORGEOUS building. Lisa had forgotten her shoes so she had to buy some to walk around in that morning. We all know that walking around in newly bought shoes that haven’t been worn in is the worst and David unfortunately (or fortunately) had her walking around a little more than she was expecting. I could tell when I spotted them that her feet were hurting from those new shoes but it’s amazing how something like a proposal can make one forget about all of that. David got down on one knee and proposed and you could just see the joy and excitement right afterwards and while we continued taking photos. Evidently everyone (family & friends) knew it was going to happen but Lisa. I just love all the anticipation and white lies that come with a proposal. I am so happy I could be part of this exciting moment and capture this special moment for Lisa & David!

Christina & Tony | Rusty Scupper | Baltimore Wedding Photographer

I started this wedding day off getting ready with Christina and her bridesmaids at the Royal Sonesta and then headed off to Life Source Church in Perry Hall so these two lovebirds could get married. After a short and sweet ceremony, we took some portraits with Christina & Tony and headed back to Royal Sonesta for more portraits since it was a rainy day in Baltimore. After that, it was time for the celebration to begin at Rusty Scupper. The views here are to die for and we definitely took advantage of that for some sunset portraits. Big congrats to Christina & Tony and I’m so happy I could be a part of your special day!

Sarah & Nick | Downtown Annapolis & Jonas Green State Park | Annapolis Engagement Session

When photographing an engagement session, there is one thing that you can’t do anything about and that is the weather. If it’s raining, you can always use an umbrella, but when it’s super windy, there is nothing that can be done. You just have to work with it and that is exactly what we did for Sarah & Nick’s engagement session in Annapolis. We started the engagement session in downtown Annapolis and then headed over to Jonas Green State Park for sunset….and oh, what a sunset it was. I think the sunset might have made up for the wind earlier in the session. What do you think? I can’t wait to photograph Sarah & Nick’s wedding this fall!
