Lacy & Matt | Legg Mason Tower | Baltimore Wedding Photographer

Lacy & Matt are two of the nicest people you will ever meet which is why I knew photographing their wedding would be a blast. I started the day off getting ready with Matt and then headed over to Four Seasons Baltimore with the girls. Everyone was calm and collected and ready for an exciting day ahead! After some bridesmaids and groomsmen portraits, we took the limo to the stunning Baltimore Basilica for the wedding ceremony. There was a break between the ceremony and reception so we were able to take plenty of portraits at the Inner Harbor before the reception began. We were fighting the sun setting but it worked out great because we were able to photograph sunset and night photos before the reception started at Legg Mason Tower. Lacy & Matt were introduced and the party began. The dance floor was literally packed all night thanks to DC Synergy Band. This was one of those weddings that you could tell EVERYONE was just having so much fun. I just love those kinds of weddings! And I was so honored Lacy & Matt choose me to document their day. Enjoy!

Katy & Neal | Shrine of the Sacred Heart & Mt. Washington Mill Dye House | Baltimore Wedding Photographer

Katy & Neal are seriously the best. They are the type of couple that you might randomly meet at a bar while you were supposed to be only having a couple of beers. Before you know it, you would have had more than a couple of beers, there would have been way too many laughs, and you would have two great friends by the end of the night. So now that you know Katy & Neal, lets talk about their wedding. We started the day off getting ready at The Radisson at Cross Keys. Each of these rooms had the perfect light and it was awesome. And then we headed to the ceremony at The Shrine of the Sacred Heart and once again, there was this amazing beam of light coming through one of the windows as everyone walked down the aisle. We had some good luck at this wedding! And then we headed to the new hot reception venue in Baltimore, Mt. Washington Mill Dye House. The Mill Dye House has the perfect amount of rustic and classiness for any Baltimore bride. And of course the yumminess and prettiness that Copper Kitchen brings just adds to this amazing venue. Katie surprised Neal with the Orioles Bird. His reaction was priceless! The dance floor was packed all night with music from the Bachelor Boys Band. Oh and I couldn’t leave without doing an end of the night shot with Katy & Neal (something that I NEVER do at weddings, but something that I’m pretty sure if I didn’t do, I would have had a groom that would have been very mad at me). I’m so happy for these two and I wish them so much happiness in their future together.

Renee & Billy | Corradetti Glassblowing Studio | Baltimore Wedding Photographer

That overjoyed, ear-to-ear smile never left either Renee or Billy’s face all day long….seriously.  These two were so excited to marry one another and everyone around them was just as excited to witness it all happen.  After the getting ready photos, we headed up to Federal Hill Park for a first look and some wedding party portraits.  We then headed over to the Corradetti Glassblowing Studio in the Clipper Mill area of Baltimore, Maryland to prep for the wedding ceremony and reception.  If you have never been to Corradetti, you absolutely must check it out.  It is a real glassblowing studio that sells beautiful pieces of art.  It is also a very unique and cool space as a wedding venue.  It has an intimate and rustic and urban feel all at the same time.  The only downside is that it doesn’t come with the absolutely fabulous feather and twinkle light ceremony backdrop.  For that, you will need to hire the equally fabulous Eventi by Diana Venditto.  Big thanks to Diana for making the day run smoothly and helping create a gorgeous wedding!

After the ceremony and toasts, it was time for the traditional Irish Car Bomb Shots.  Well traditional to Renee & Billy that is.  Whenever Renee & Billy have people over or are out with friends, Irish Car Bombs are happening.  So of course, their wedding was no different.  Irish Car Bombs were served to everyone at the wedding (if they wanted to partake of course) to get the party started!  And the party definitely started.  The dance floor was packed all night long! Love it!

And if you are wondering if Renee & Billy had Irish Car Bomb shots during their engagement session, the answer is yes!  Check it out here.

I’m so incredibly happy for Renee & Billy and wish them the happiest of days in their future together.  Although this blog post is about the two of them, I would like to dedicate it to the memory of Alice Jaqueth, Renee’s mom.  Unfortunately, Alice passed away almost exactly a month after Renee & Billy’s wedding day.  According to Renee, her mom was, “an amazing, beautiful woman that always put others first and had a smile and hug ready whenever it was needed.”  I’m sure that short description is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to describing what a wonderful person Alice was and the impact she had on her family and friends throughout her life.  I didn’t know Alice, but I know she raised an amazing and beautiful daughter with a smile that lights up the room so she must be just as amazing.  I also know she is so thankful that she was able to see that beautiful smile on a beautiful and fun wedding day.
